November 24, 2020 by

A course will give Washington D.C. physio and massage therapists the knowledge and experience they need to offer lymphatic drainage services to their clientele.

The Academy of Lymphatic Studies has scheduled a series of training sessions for the Washington area, and registration for these workshops is now open. The skills taught can be useful during the post-surgical and post-traumatic periods, and treating other forms of edema will be included as well.

During the training, the professionals who take part will learn various techniques that can be used for lymphatic drainage, and they will get hands-on experience. It will address pathologies such as fibromyalgia, migraines and chronic pain.

The organizer of the activity explained that during the registration process, each applicant will be asked to supply their name and credentials in the exact format they would like them to appear on the certificate of completion, and other documentation that will be provided to those who successfully complete the workshop. Stationery printers can supply these sorts of customized documents.

The workshops will all take place at the Potomac Massage Training Institute in Silver Springs. The tuition fee will be $995.

The Manual Lymph Drainage certification sessions will be on offer starting on January 9, 2021. The final date to register will be January 6, and this can be completed through the event’s Facebook page.
