Washington area food drive seeking donations

October 26, 2020 by

Washington residents have been asked to show their support to the community’s folks in need by being generous when they donate to an upcoming food drive.

The donation drive, which will take place at IKEA in College Park, will accept all sorts of non-perishable food items, and they will be collected and distributed through the College Park Food Bank and also the UMD Food Pantry. Those who will be making a contribution are asked to check and make sure their items have not passed their expiration date.

When they arrive at the venue where the food drive will be held, the public is asked to remain in their vehicle, and their donation will be picked up by the volunteers. In an effort to make sure this goes smoothly, it has been requested that the items be clean, non-dented, and bagged, as this will make it easier and safer for everyone who takes part.

For a charitable event like this, a poster printing company will be able to make sure as many as possible know it is on the agenda for their location. These can be prepared in a variety of styles and include eye-catching graphic design elements.

This chance to make sure all community members have food on their table will be held on November 7. The activity will take place at 10100 Baltimore Avenue in College Park.
