Washington walk to visit migrating hawks

October 25, 2020 by

Winter is on the way, which means hawks and other raptors are on the move, and a Washington area park will welcome these feathery guests.

An outing planned for Four Mile Run Park will explore the site in autumn, and the organizers noted that participants can expect to see migrating birds and other wildlife along the way as well. The registrants will meet up at the Four Mile Run Farmers Market before they head out, and if they have binoculars and a field guide, they may want to bring them along.

During the walk, social distancing protocols will be observed, and while the event is on offer free of charge, donations for the maintenance and upgrades to the park will be appreciated. Attendees are advised to dress for the weather, and the activity may be cancelled if it is particularly bad.

Hosting a walk or other outdoor function like this offers a fun way for the public to learn more about the animals all around them. Flyers often prove to be an economical choice for promoting the occasion, and a flyer printing company is the place to go to obtain them.

The date for the Fall Hawk Walk will be November 22, and registration will open this Friday, October 30. The activity is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am.
